When underprivileged and troubled Teddy O'Hara (Danny Richards Jr.) steals a cake to give to his kind aunt Agnes (Virginia Gregg) as a Christmas present Billy Hayes (David Saber) knows he must do whatever he can to defend his friend. With the help of his aunt and a benevolent nun (Maureen O'Hara) Teddy's future begins to look brighter.
