Chris Charles, a filmmaker from Maine, studied Film at Columbia College Chicago. He joined Beverly Ridge Pictures in 2005 before co-founding Throughline Films in 2012, producing and distributing numerous projects. He later launched Very Merry Entertainment, specializing in family-friendly content. Chris co-wrote The Marksman starring Liam Neeson, which topped the box office and became a top-grossing indie film of 2021. He also co-authored its novelization, released in 2023 as a Top New Release on Amazon.
